This Privacy Policy explains how FireGuard 112+ (the “App”) collects, uses, and shares data when you use the App.
1. Summary
  • Advertising: The App displays banner ads using Google AdMob.
  • Location: The App may use location to provide local information. Location may be collected while the App is open. If you enable optional background location features, location may be collected in the background.
  • Remote notifications: If enabled, we send remote push notifications using Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and Apple Push Notification service (APNs).
  • Local notifications: The App may use on-device notifications for offline reminders or alerts.
  • Tracking (iOS 14+): Ad personalization may use IDFA only if you allow tracking via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.
  • No sale of personal data: We do not sell personal data.
Safety note: The App provides informational content and optional alerts. It does not replace emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
2. Data We Collect and Why

Serve banner ads, measure performance, frequency capping, fraud prevention, reporting. If allowed, ads may be personalized. Consent for personalized ads where required.
Legitimate interests for basic ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention, subject to local law.
Diagnostics (optional) Crash logs and basic app device info (app version, OS version). Improve stability, troubleshoot issues, maintain security. Legitimate interests (app quality and security), subject to local law.
Important clarifications
  • Last known location: area based risk alerts may rely on your most recent saved location. If location is not updated for a while, alerts may be less accurate.
  • Background location is optional: if provided as a feature, you can disable it at any time in device settings. Background location may increase battery usage.
3. Remote Push Notifications (FCM and APNs)

If you enable notifications, the App can send remote alerts. We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for routing and delivery, and Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for iOS delivery.

To send notifications, we store a device push token and, if you allow location, your last known location. We may periodically compute area based risk and send notifications to devices that have alerts enabled.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob) and Your Choices

The App displays banner advertisements and uses Google AdMob (Google LLC) to serve ads on iOS and Android.

Personalized vs non personalized ads
  • Personalized ads may use the advertising identifier and related signals to show more relevant ads.
  • Non personalized ads are contextual ads shown without using the advertising identifier for personalization.
iOS tracking permission (ATT, iOS 14+)
  • If you choose Allow, AdMob may access IDFA for ad personalization and measurement.
  • If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the App will still show ads, typically with limited personalization.
  • You can change your choice anytime in iOS Settings.

5. Location Data

The App may request location permission to provide local functionality and to improve area based alerts.

  • While Using the App: location can be used while the App is open (foreground).
  • Background location (optional): if the App provides a background location feature and you enable it, the App may collect location in the background to keep your alert area up to date.
  • Control: you can deny or revoke location permission anytime in device settings. Some features may be limited without location.
6. Sharing of Data

We share data only as needed to operate the App:

  • Google (AdMob): ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention.
  • Google (FCM): routing and delivery of remote push notifications.
  • Apple (APNs): delivery of push notifications to iOS devices.
  • Legal and security: if required to comply with law or protect users and the App.
7. International Transfers

Some providers, for example Google and Apple, may process data on servers outside your country. Where required, transfers are protected using appropriate safeguards under applicable law.

8. Data Retention
  • Push token: retained while notifications are enabled and removed or deactivated when disabled or after uninstall where technically available to us.
  • Last known location: retained only as needed to provide area based alerts and service functionality. You can request deletion.
  • Ad related data: processed and retained by Google according to Google’s policies.
  • Diagnostics: retained as needed to resolve issues and improve stability.
